Who we can act for
We are admitted in Germany and act under German law. We can normally help when at least one of these is true: you live in Germany, you paid from a bank or exchange account in Germany or the EU, or a company, bank or payment provider involved is based here. For people in Austria or Switzerland we can act where the case has a connection to Germany or the EU — a bank, a payment provider or a party based here. If none applies, say so in your enquiry — we will tell you plainly whether we can act.

How the case review works in detail
Fees and costs explained transparently
When we will advise against it
- Loss well below the expected costs, and no legal-expenses cover
- No name, no records, no account details, no platform
- Payment far enough back that limitation has run (§§ 195, 199 BGB)
- Fake shop, grandparent scam, shock call — the police and consumer advice centre are the right contacts
In every other case we are glad to look. A difficult starting position does not automatically mean nothing can be done.
- GDPR-compliant — processed exclusively within the EU
- No cold calling: we never contact you unsolicited
- No hidden costs — the initial assessment is free
Common questions
Questions about getting in touch
What does the initial assessment cost?
Nothing. You describe your case and receive an honest first view of your legal options, free of charge and without obligation. Costs only arise if you instruct us afterwards, and we discuss them with you in advance.
Which documents do I need for the enquiry?
None to begin with. Whatever you have to hand is enough: the provider or platform name, roughly when and how contact came about, and which amounts were paid. Contracts, statements, chat histories and transaction records can follow once we have looked at the case.
How confidential is my enquiry?
Your details are transmitted over an encrypted connection, processed exclusively within the EU and never passed on to third parties. Communication with a lawyer is additionally subject to professional confidentiality obligations.
